Mäpt Nut-mïjurd (/nut/ /mɪˈjurd/ [pink] [whisker]) is a temperate Town located in the Sluptprond Principality of the Koiapian City-state.

The name Mäpt Nut-mïjurd is derived from the Gnollish language, as Mäpt Nut-mïjurd was founded by Sru vyim Rolɑrtɑcu, who was culturaly Gnollish.

Climate

Overview

Mäpt Nut-mïjurd was founded durring the early 13th century in fall of the year 1202, by Sru vyim Rolɑrtɑcu. The establishment of Mäpt Nut-mïjurd suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Mäpt Nut-mïjurd was built using the conventions of Gnollish durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Mäpt Nut-mïjurd is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Mäpt Nut-mïjurd is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of crampt cobblestone streets which form octogonal paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town is protected by a well-crafted cobblestone fence tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Unfortuantly, these frontieer-style defences are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

Mäpt Nut-mïjurd has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Mäpt Nut-mïjurd ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. Likely due to this, Mäpt Nut-mïjurd is, in a word, disorder. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to have homes. One cannot help but wonder what Mäpt Nut-mïjurd was like during the glorydays.

Civic Infrastructure

Mäpt Nut-mïjurd has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Mäpt Nut-mïjurd. Mäpt Nut-mïjurd possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Mäpt Nut-mïjurd's grid is powered by a boiler and turbine based power plant.

Mäpt Nut-mïjurd has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Mäpt Nut-mïjurd's natural decorations nor waterways.

Mäpt Nut-mïjurd's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is based upon new and innovative technologies of construction and the idea that form should follow function. It was an embrace of minimalism and a rejection of ornament. The style became characterized by an emphasis on volume, asymmetrical compositions, and minimal ornamentation..
